RPS signs Memorandum of Understanding with Sekwang Engineering Consultants, South Korea

Continuing its strategic positioning into the growing Asia offshore wind market, RPS is pleased to announce on September 22 the signing of a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (“MOU”) with SEKWANG Engineering Consultants.

RPS’ deep international expertise in the delivery of technical advice and operational support to offshore wind, partnered with SEKWANG’s broad expertise in maritime engineering and infrastructure, delivers certainty for international and local developers seeking to develop offshore assets in this fast-growing market.

Commenting on this agreement, Alun Williams, Director Offshore Renewables, RPS said, “This is a significant milestone for RPS as we seek to embed our presence in this exciting growth market. From engineering design through to the marine environment, SEKWANG’s maritime infrastructure experience is very impressive. We are excited to be working alongside them to support the development of the offshore wind industry in and around Korea.”

This MOU was effective from August 24, 2020 and will be in place initially for two years with an option to extend by an additional two years. RPS and SEKWANG combined will provide clients with international standard advice throughout the asset lifecycle, supported by the latest technology and deep local knowledge.
